The Equinor Njord field in the Norwegian Sea has been upgraded and officially started

Equinor Energy and its partners have officially launched the upgraded Njord field in the Norwegian Sea, which is expected to double its production life and produce oil and gas for more than 20 years, NS Energy reported on May 16.

"Norwegian oil and gas exports to Europe have never been more important because of the outbreak of geopolitical conflicts," said Terje Aasland, Norway's Minister of Petroleum and Energy. The reopening of the Njord field will help Norway remain a stable gas supplier to Europe for many years to come."
