Oman's oil production reached 62,750,100 barrels at the end of February, up 3.0 percent from a year earlier, Le Point newspaper reported on April 1. Crude oil production reached 49.3917 million barrels, up 2.9 percent year-on-year. Condensate production reached 13.3583 million barrels of oil, up 3.5 percent from a year ago, with average daily production of 163,600 barrels, up 3 percent from a year ago. Oil exports fell 6.9 percent to 49.713,300 barrels. The average price of a barrel reached $81.8, up 6.6 percent year on year. Oman topped Oman's list of oil exporters by exporting 44.490,400 barrels to China, 1,714,400 barrels to India and 1,267,700 barrels to Japan, the data showed.

As of the end of February, Oman's natural gas production (including imports) reached 8.5503 billion cubic meters, up 10.3% year on year. The output of associated gas reached 1.71 billion cubic meters, up 9.4% year on year; The output of non-associated natural gas (including imports) reached 6.84 billion cubic meters, up 10.6 percent year on year. Consumption of natural gas in industrial areas increased by 16.5%, that of power plants by 15.5%, that of oil fields by 11.9% and that of industrial projects by 8.9%.
