Norway's oil and gas production fell less than expected in September

Norway's crude oil and natural gas output fell in September from a month earlier, according to preliminary data released by the Norwegian Petroleum Council (NPD) on Thursday, missing official expectations.

Crude oil production fell to 1.64 million BPD in September from 1.78 million BPD in August and below expectations of 1.82 million BPD, NPD said.

Gas production averaged 303 million cubic meters/day in September, down from 345 million cubic meters/day in August and below expectations of 323.9 million cubic meters/day.

Natural gas production fell to 9.1 billion cubic meters in the month from 10.7 billion cubic meters in August, NPD said.
