According to foreign media news: local time on October 24, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said that Azerbaijan plans to resume the Baku-Supsa oil pipeline operation.

Aliyev said the resumption of the pipeline could bring Caspian oil from the Sangachal terminal near Baku to the Georgian port of Supsa on the Black Sea, RIA Novosti reported.

The pipeline, which had a capacity of about 7m tonnes of oil a year, was halted in the spring due to a lack of applications from Georgia for shipments, the report said. In addition, Azerbaijan will also increase the capacity of the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline next year, according to Aliyev.
