On December 1, the reporter learned from the Changqing Oilfield Branch of petrochina Co., LTD., that after more than two years of exploration, Changqing Oilfield found a large oil field with geological reserves of over 100 million tons in Hongde area, Huan County, Qingyang City, Gansu Province.

Niu Xiaobing, deputy general manager of petrochina Changqing Oilfield Company, introduced that since June 2021, Changqing Oilfield has used 3D seismic technology to cover a large area to support and guide, and oil exploration has once again deployed Hongde area to search for structural oil reservoirs, and has obtained high-yield industrial oil flow in 23 exploration Wells, of which 3 Wells have more than 100 tons of oil per day. "Up to now, Changqing Oilfield has submitted proven oil reserves of 50.24 million tons and predicted oil reserves of 56.2 million tons in this area, and a large oil field of more than 100 million tons has finally surfaced."

Niu Xiaobing said that the discovery of more than 100 million tons of integrated oil fields in Longdong area marks a major breakthrough in oil exploration in the complex fault area of the western Ordos Basin, opening up a new field of oil exploration and development in the western Ordos basin.
