The offshore installation of the largest block of Kenli 6-1 Oilfield in the 100-million-ton Bohai Oilfield has been completed

Reporter learned from China National Offshore Oil Group Co., LTD., on November 9, with the lifting of the 2000-ton wellhead platform E block in place, all the 7 platforms in the largest block of Kenli 6-1 oilfield, a 100-million-ton large oilfield in Bohai Sea, have been completed offshore installation, laying a solid foundation for the project to be put into production on schedule.

The proved geological reserves of Kenli 6-1 oilfield are over 100 million tons. It is the first large oil field of 100 million tons discovered by exploration in the northern area of Laizhou Bay, Bohai Sea, China. It is also the largest crude oil production project under construction in Bohai Oil Field, China's largest crude oil production base, in 2022.

The field consists of three development projects, Block 5-1/5-2/6-1, Block 4-1 and Block 10-1 North, of which block 5-1/5-2/6-1 is the largest, comprising a central processing platform and six unmanned wellhead platforms. With a weight of over 15,000 tons, the central processing platform is the heaviest in the Bohai Sea and can accommodate up to 80 employees at a time.
