The drilling depth of 10,000-meter deep well in Tarim Oilfield has exceeded 8,000 meters

The reporter learned from petrochina Tarim Oilfield on October 26 that the drilling depth of China's first 10,000-meter exploration well - deep Earth Tako 1 well broke through the 8,000 meters mark, reaching 8,056 meters, and fully entered the difficult formation drilling stage.

The target drilling depth of the Deep subsurface Takko 1 well is 11,100 meters, located in the hinterland of the Taklimakan Desert. In the past five months, it has set a number of records such as the deepest casing and the largest tonnage of casing in China's oil and gas well drilling.

The Tarim Basin, located between the Tianshan and Kunlun Mountains, is the largest oil-bearing basin in China. The oil and natural gas resources buried more than 6000 meters in the Tarim Basin account for 83.2% and 63.9% of the country, respectively, making it the largest deep-ground oil-gas rich area in China.
