On March 25, China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC) announced that China has drilled a high-yield oil and gas well in the Bohai Sea at a depth of more than 5,000 meters, with a daily output of nearly 1,400 cubic meters of oil and gas equivalent, setting a record for the highest daily output of offshore deep oil and gas exploration Wells in China.

The well is located in the middle sea area of Bohai Sea, close to Bozhong Sag, the largest hydrocarbon rich sag in Bohai Sea, and located in a volcanic rock reservoir structure. The test produces 855 cubic meters of crude oil per day and more than 500,000 cubic meters of natural gas per day, equivalent to about 1,400 cubic meters of oil and gas equivalent, with broad exploration prospects.
