On May 7, after several consultations between China Petroleum (Iraq) Ahdab Company and Zhenhua Petroleum Holding Co., LTD., Oasis Petroleum Co., LTD., as the main body, and China Petroleum Exploration and Development Research Institute, Zhenhua Petroleum Exploration and Development Research Institute and China Petroleum Chuanqing Drilling Geological Exploration and Development Research Institute 3 scientific research units, The framework agreement on the stable Production Innovation Consortium of the Ahdab oil field in Iraq was signed.
The Ahdab oil field project is the first foreign oil cooperation project and the first oil service contract in Iraq's post-war reconstruction, and it is also the first oil field development project entered by petrochina in Iraq. The signing of this agreement is of milestone significance for the stable production and future planning and development of the Ahdab oilfield.
On the occasion of the signing, Ahdab held the first workshop on carbonate water injection development technology in the Middle East, and the relevant units reported on the current oilfield development situation. The partners of the innovation Consortium and CNPC ABU Dhabi Company focused on the bottleneck problems of difficult oil and water stability, single measures and low proportion of measures to increase oil production in the Ahdab oilfield, and jointly shared experience and technical exchange and discussion on the development of carbonate water injection in the Middle East. The delegates presented their suggestions based on 11 reports.
The formal establishment of the innovation consortium and the successful holding of the workshop on carbonate water injection development technology in the Middle East have pointed out the direction for the stable production of the Ahdab oilfield. In the future, Ahdab will join hands with the innovation Consortium partner units and make every effort to promote the substantive progress of the work of the innovation consortium.
